Islamabad, Dec 24: The Finance Division has emphasized that the funds allocated for the Adhoc Relief Allowance (ARA) 2024 cannot be repurposed for any other use.
These funds are specifically designated to cover the expenditures related to the Adhoc Relief Allowance 2024 under the accounts A0125E and A0121X. On Monday, the Finance Division (Budget Wing) issued a memorandum titled “Strategy for Re-appropriation and Additional Allocation of Funds During the Financial Year.” The memorandum referred to the earlier Finance Division Budget Wing’s OM No. F.4(2)-CAO(MoF)/Strategy/4, dated September 24, 2024, and reiterated the point made in paragraph 2(ii) of the original OM that the funds for ARA 2024 cannot be used for any other purpose.
The original OM, issued on September 24, 2024, stated that additional funds have been provided to the PAOs to cover the Adhoc Relief Allowance 2024 announced in the budget for the current fiscal year. These funds are allocated in a separate cost center within each Demand for Grants and Appropriations.
PAOs are instructed to re-appropriate these funds, in consultation with the Expenditure Wing of the Finance Division, exclusively for the Adhoc Relief Allowance 2024 during the third quarter of the current fiscal year.
