Islamabad, Jan 6: Admissions to public sector medical colleges in Punjab are set to begin on Monday, January 6, 2025, as announced by the University of Health Sciences (UHS). The process will follow guidelines issued by the Punjab Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), ensuring a transparent and merit-based selection system.
For MBBS programs, government medical colleges across Punjab will accept online applications from January 6 to January 15. The first merit list for these programs will be displayed on January 23. Similarly, the admissions for BDS programs in government dental colleges will commence on February 3 and conclude on February 11, with the first merit list set to be published on February 20.
Aspiring medical and dental students can apply through the dedicated online admission portal available on the UHS website. The portal is designed to streamline the application process, allowing candidates to submit their details, upload required documents, and track their application status in real time.
The UHS has emphasized the importance of adhering to the set deadlines and ensuring that applications are complete in all respects to avoid disqualification. Students are encouraged to carefully review the eligibility criteria and program requirements outlined on the admission portal before submission.
This year’s admission cycle reflects ongoing efforts by the PMDC and UHS to enhance accessibility and efficiency in medical education. By digitizing the application process, the authorities aim to reduce administrative delays and make the admissions process more user-friendly for applicants.
The introduction of a clearly defined timeline and an online system is expected to simplify the journey for thousands of students vying for a place in Punjab’s premier medical institutions, fostering confidence in the integrity and fairness of the selection process.
