Islamabad, June 12, 2025: A British man has reportedly survived the Air India crash, which tragically claimed the lives of hundreds. Identified as 40-year-old Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, the survivor spoke from his hospital bed after escaping the doomed aircraft earlier today.

Shockingly, footage shows him limping away from the crash site with visible injuries to his chest, feet, and around his eyes. Police found the passenger, who had been sitting in seat 11A wandering in a residential area in Gujarat. Emergency crews rushed him to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

His family has since confirmed his presence on the flight, but they are still searching for another relative who was also believed to be aboard. Speaking to local media, Mr Ramesh recounted how his brother had been seated elsewhere, ‘I can’t find him anymore’.”

He described the moment the disaster struck: ‘Thirty seconds after take-off, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. It all happened so quickly.” He recalled waking within the carnage, with bodies scattered around, before escaping to safety. A bystander later helped him into an ambulance.

Mr Ramesh, a London-based father of one, was on his way back from visiting family in India when the plane crashed into buildings near Ahmedabad, including one doctors’ hostel.

Meanwhile, police said they had also discovered another survivor at the hospital. The confirmed death toll has reached at least 240. Initially, authorities feared there were no survivors from the 242 individuals on board, which included 53 British nationals, 159 Indians, seven Portuguese citizens, and one Canadian. The flight also carried 11 children, including two newborns.

Recovery efforts have retrieved 204 bodies from the crash zone and surrounding areas. Experts suspect the Boeing 787 Dreamliner might have lost engine power during its crucial take-off phase.

As investigators continue to piece together the events of this devastating Air India crash, Mr Ramesh’s survival stands as a powerful testament to human resilience amid tragedy.
