ISLAMABAD, June 2, 2025: Pakistani airline, operating from Sialkot, Punjab and running flights for multiple domestic destinations, AirSial has begun chartering the international territory as well.

Before this the airline has run some flights to Saudi Arabia, but that has primarily been for Umrah and Hajj pilgrims. Now, AirSial has officially taken the first step towards capitalizing international Pakistani diaspora, starting with the UAE.

AirSial’s first-ever flight to Dubai departed from Islamabad on Monday afternoon, Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) said in a statement. A ceremony was held at Islamabad Airport to mark the launch of AirSial’s international flight, PAA said.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, who also hails from the airline’s parent city Sialkot, attended the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest, PAA said. Defense Secretary Lt. Gen. (retd) Muhammad Ali Hilal-Imtiaz Military, Director General Civil Aviation Authority Nader Shafi Dar were also part of the ceremony.

COO/APM Islamabad International Airport and AirSial CEO were also present. AirSial flight PF784 departed Islamabad for Dubai at 11:34 am with 137 passengers on board, PAA said.

These international flights are aimed at catering to the large Pakistani diaspora residing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The move is also expected to enhance regional connectivity and provide an affordable option for the passengers on one of the busiest air routes in the region.

At the time of announcement of international flights, AirSial Chairman Fazal Jillani had said that the airline aims to bring “competitive pricing” and “enhanced service quality” to the aviation sector. AirSial was established in 2020 by the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has rapidly grown into a reputable domestic carrier.
