Islamabad, 12 May, 2025: Educational institutions across Azad Jammu and Kashmir AJK are set to resume operations from 13 May 2025, following a temporary closure caused by rising tensions along the Pakistan-India border.
Authorities had earlier suspended academic activities as a precautionary measure to safeguard students amid cross-border instability.

According to a statement released by the Elementary and Secondary Education Secretariat, all public and private schools will reopen as the security situation has shown signs of improvement.
Officials confirmed that the decision was made after careful consultation with regional safety bodies, ensuring that conditions are now stable enough for students and teachers to return safely to classrooms.
