Islamabad, Feb 1: A high-profile Pakistani delegation, led by Federal Minister for Investment and Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan, has embarked on a strategic visit to Baku, Azerbaijan. The visit aims to enhance bilateral cooperation in key economic sectors, including energy, transport, and investment opportunities.
The delegation engaged in productive discussions with Azerbaijan’s top officials, including Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, Transport Minister Rashid Nabiov, and Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs Samad Bashiri. These talks focused on expanding trade, energy collaboration, and infrastructural development, strengthening economic ties between the two nations.
One of the key highlights of the discussions was the progress on 15 significant agreements covering diverse sectors such as oil and gas, renewable energy projects, and major motorway initiatives. Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan emphasized that both countries are working towards finalizing investment agreements valued at approximately $2 billion, which will play a vital role in fostering long-term economic stability and prosperity.
