Ali Sheikhani is a Pakistani-American businessman based in Houston, Texas, and he serves as the chairman of the Sheikhani Group of companies.
The Sheikhani Group, established in 2012, operates across various sectors including retail chains, gas stations, shopping plazas, construction companies, and restaurants.
Their focus includes property acquisition, development, and management, aiming for rapid growth and quality experiences in retail, energy, and dining sectors.
Recently, Ali Sheikhani expressed his interest in purchasing K-Electric Supply Company, a major electricity provider in Karachi, Pakistan.
His stated motivation behind this interest is to address issues such as prolonged load shedding and public safety concerns in Karachi, rather than seeking financial gain from the acquisition.
This proposal comes amidst K-Electric’s plans to increase the base electricity tariff in Karachi as part of its investment and expansion strategy for the city’s power infrastructure.
