Islamabad, 15 Apr, 2025: American Construction company Fluor Corporation has officially been appointed as the lead Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) contractor for the ambitious Reko Diq Development, a significant milestone in one of the world’s largest untapped copper-gold mining ventures.
This appointment follows the recent approval of the project’s revised feasibility study and a conditional greenlight for Phase-1 capital spending pending the closure of up to $3 billion in financing.
The updated roadmap ensures that core construction activities will launch in 2025, with the first phase of production projected for the end of 2028, according to APP sources.
