Islamabad, July 8, 2025: The body of model and actress Humaira Asghar Ali was found inside her apartment located in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority on Tuesday, police officials confirmed.
South DIG Syed Asad Raza informed media that Ali’s body was found inside a residence in Ittehad Commercial, Phase-VI. In a statement, the Gizri police confirmed that the body belonged to the 32-year-old actress and stated that she had passed away roughly two weeks before her body was found.
DIG Raza mentioned that the Gizri police visited the premises on the instructions of a local court to have the apartment vacated. Upon knocking on the door at around 3:15pm, no reply was received. The police then broke the lock to enter the unit and found her body inside. The Crime Scene Unit was summoned to gather forensic evidence.
The late actress had been residing in the flat as a tenant.

This is the second incident of this type as earlier in late June Pakistani veteran actress Ayesha Khan was also found dead in her residence located in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal area. According to initial reports Khan body was discovered almost a week after her death.
Such incidents are sparking serious concerns among public, highlighting the stark contrast between the glamorous image of showbiz and the harsh realities many might face behind closed doors. Moreover, the growing trend of living alone in cities is becoming increasingly alarming, as it often leaves individuals vulnerable in unforeseen situations.
