Left-arm fast bowler Waqas Maqsood has announced his retirement from international cricket, closing a chapter that saw him represent Pakistan and excel in domestic arenas for more than a decade.

Maqsood made his T20 International debut in November 2018 against New Zealand in Dubai, becoming the 80th player to don the Pakistan colors in the shortest format. In his only appearance, he bowled 1.5 overs, striking twice and making a short yet unforgettable impact.

Hailing from Faisalabad, the seasoned bowler built a strong domestic career from 2011 to 2023, featuring in 81 first-class, 56 List A, and 68 T20 games. His consistent performances at home earned him recognition and a national cap.
