Islamabad, Jan 4: This year, Apple and Samsung are poised to intensify their rivalry in the premium market by introducing ultra-thin high-end smartphones: Apple’s iPhone 17 Air and Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Slim.
Apple iPhone 17 Air
Apple is set to replace the underperforming iPhone 16 Plus with the sleeker iPhone 17 Air, maintaining the same price as its predecessor. At 6.25 mm thick, this model ranks among Apple’s slimmest yet, though slightly thicker than earlier rumors. Despite its ultra-slim profile, the pricing strategy aims to attract more buyers. The iPhone 17 Air will launch in September 2025, alongside the rest of the iPhone 17 lineup.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Slim is a direct response to the iPhone 17 Air. With a thickness of around 6.5 mm, the S25 Slim will join Samsung’s premium Galaxy S25 lineup, positioned between the S25 Ultra and S25+. It promises a premium design at a relatively more affordable price point. Scheduled to be unveiled at the Samsung Unpacked event this month, the S25 Slim will likely hit shelves in late 2025.
What to Expect
Both devices mark a shift in their respective lineups, offering ultra-slim designs without compromising on premium features. The iPhone 17 Air will aim to win hearts in September, while the Galaxy S25 Slim looks to generate buzz during Samsung’s Unpacked event this month.
This battle of ultra-thin smartphones is set to redefine competition in the high-end smartphone market!
