Islamabad, Dec 2: Apple is set to release its thinnest iPhone yet, the iPhone 17 Air, in 2025. Expected to measure just 5mm to 6mm in thickness, this ultra-slim device will emphasize minimalism over added features.
Key features include:
- A 48MP single rear camera and a 24MP front camera.
- No SIM card tray, relying solely on eSIM technology.
- Removal of the bottom-edge speaker, leaving just the earpiece speaker.
- 6.6-inch Dynamic Island display, powered by an A19 chip and 8GB RAM.
- Frames made of lightweight aluminum for durability and portability.
However, compromises like reduced battery life and the absence of mmWave 5G support may limit performance.
The iPhone 17 lineup will include the standard iPhone 17, the minimalist iPhone 17 Air, and premium Pro models with enhanced features. Apple plans to launch the series in September 2025.
