Islamabad, Dec 12: For all eligible iPhone and iPad models, Apple has formally launched iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2. The changes, which include a number of additions and enhancements, are now accessible to the general public after a beta testing phase and two release candidate builds.
Important Updates and Features in iOS 18.2
Significant changes are included in iOS 18.2, especially for Siri, which now connects with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. By utilizing ChatGPT’s sophisticated features, this allows Siri to respond to increasingly complicated queries while protecting user privacy by guaranteeing that requests stay anonymous. Users can also sign in with their ChatGPT account for additional benefits, governed by OpenAI’s data policies.
Genmoji, a feature that lets users make personalized emojis straight from text prompts, and Image Playground, a new tool that lets users create playful graphics from text prompts and personal photos, are both included in the update. Both features ensure seamless accessibility by syncing across devices through iCloud.
Extra Improvements
Camera Enhancements: With support for ChatGPT and Google Search, Enhanced Camera Control offers interactive alternatives for identifying items and places. Accurate focus and exposure changes are made possible by a new two-stage shutter feature.
Mail and Photos: Usability is improved with better message classification in Mail and video navigation in Photos. Safari Upgrades: Enhancements to the HTTPS priority, import/export capabilities, and background customisation make for a more enjoyable surfing experience.
General Enhancements and Bug Corrections
The update fixes a number of problems, such as performance in Night mode and photo visibility. Additionally, it adds Sudoku puzzles for News+ members, improved location sharing in Find My, layered recording in Voice Memos, and natural language search in Apple Music and Apple TV.
