Islamabad, July 22, 2025: Field Marshal Asim Munir met with key figures from Pakistan’s business sector in Islamabad to review the country’s economic situation and policy challenges.
The delegation, led by former caretaker federal minister Gohar Ijaz, included Kamra Arshad of APTMA, SM Tanveer of FPCCI, and representatives from the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Ijaz highlighted emerging economic stability and expressed strong business support for the government’s reform. He called for lower interest rate aligned with inflation, resolution of federal budget concerns, and a focus on an export-driven economy.
Protecting domestic cotton and supporting farmers were also key points.
Field Marshal Munir has previously voiced military support for economic progress, engaged with tech leaders on digital innovation, and acknowledged contributions from overseas Pakistanis.

The army chief talked about the importance of youth involvement and promised continued efforts to boost economic development.
