Islamabad, Mar 26, 2025: Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb has emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to transitioning from Chinese Investments over Aid and technical collaboration.
Speaking to CGTN Urdu during the Boao Forum for Asia 2025 in China, the minister identified agriculture, artificial intelligence (AI), and technology as key areas for future Chinese Investments over Aid in Pakistan.
Strengthening Economic Ties with China
Aurangzeb underscored the success of infrastructure and energy projects under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and stressed the need to diversify collaboration beyond traditional aid.
He highlighted ongoing efforts to revitalize Pakistan’s agriculture sector, referencing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to China last year, where he explored vertical farming and agricultural universities.

Agricultural Training and Green Projects
As part of this agriculture-focused collaboration, 1,000 Pakistani students and agricultural experts will be sent to China for training and skills development.
Aurangzeb also praised China’s leadership in green energy and environmental sustainability, expressing Pakistan’s eagerness to adopt similar initiatives to combat climate challenges and Chinese Investments over Aid.
By prioritizing investment and technology exchange, Pakistan aims to build a more self-sufficient and innovation-driven economy while deepening economic ties with China.
