Launched on December 7, this invitation-only permanent visa targets individuals with internationally recognized achievements. Applicants must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and secure a nominator with a strong national reputation in their field. Key candidates include entrepreneurs, researchers, athletes, and creatives.
Application Process
- Submit an EOI to the Department of Home Affairs.
- Invitations are issued based on alignment with priority fields and achievements.
- Applications must be submitted within 60 days of receiving an invitation.
Benefits and Costs
Successful applicants gain permanent residency with work and study rights, Medicare access, and family sponsorship opportunities. The application fee starts at $4,840, with additional charges for non-English speakers.
Priority Fields
Talent in emerging technologies, agrifood, space, fintech, and critical technologies like renewables and low-emission solutions will be prioritized, along with individuals holding prestigious international awards.
