In Rawalpindi, Neil Hawkins, the Australian High Commissioner, joined General Angus J. Campbell, the Australian Chief of Defence Force (CDF), in a visit to the Commonwealth War Cemetery. Their purpose was to honor Flying Officer Geoffrey Scott, one of four Australian Air Force officers who lost their lives in Pakistan during World War II.
