Islamabad, Nov 4: SBP Cuts Key Interest Rate for the Fourth Time in Four Months. On Monday, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) declared that, as of November 4, 2024, the interest rate has been lowered by 250 basis points to 15 percent. Following a meeting of the bank’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), SBP issued an official press release announcing the move. This is the central bank’s fourth cut in a row. The Islamabad High Court has dismissed the petition filed by M/s Strawberry Sports Management (Private) Limited, affirming the regulatory powers of the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP).
