According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 140 kilometers. The epicenter was located at the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border. This comes just days after tremors were recorded in Buner and other areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
