Islamabad, Sep 7: KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan registered a decline on Saturday, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). Gold now costs Rs261,500 per tola, a reduction of Rs2,000. In a similar vein, the price of 10-gram gold fell by Rs. 1714, selling for Rs. 224,194. Islamabad, Sep 7: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has made it mandatory for state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to resolve their tax-related disputes with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) through the forum of the alternate dispute resolution committees (ADRCs). The FBR has issued an S.R.O. 1377(I)/2024 on Friday to amend Income Tax Rules, 2002. Islamabad, Sep 7: The federal cabinet has extended the period for the export of sugar by 15 days. Government sources claim that the 45-day window for sugar exports has been extended to 60 days. Previously, one and a half lakh tonnes of sugar could be exported. Unused quota will be exportable by sugar mills for a longer duration.
