Islamabad, Mar 16 2025:  SNGPL Intensifies Crackdown on Gas Theft, Disconnects 254 Illegal Connections Across Punjab and KP.

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has ramped up its CrackDown on Gas Theft and its anti-gas theft campaign, severing 254 unauthorized connections in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad while imposing fines worth Rs 2.65 million on violators.

In Lahore, the regional team took decisive action against 81 illegal gas connections, penalizing offenders with Rs 0.81 million in fines.

Similarly, in Faisalabad, 29 unauthorized connections were cut off, with fines reaching Rs 0.26 million. Sheikhupura saw 7 disconnections, with penalties amounting to Rs 0.31 million.

The Multan team took action against gas pilferers by disconnecting 45 illegal connections, while another 24 connections were severed for unauthorized compressor usage.

In Bahawalpur, officials disconnected 9 illegal connections, along with 53 others linked to unauthorized compressor installations.

Gujranwala’s regional team acted against gas theft by disconnecting one unauthorized connection and issuing a Rs 0.25 million fine. Meanwhile, in Sahiwal, authorities terminated 5 illegal connections, with penalties surging to Rs 1.03 million.

SNGPL continues to take a zero-tolerance approach towards gas theft, reinforcing efforts to curb illegal consumption and unauthorized installations.

The company remains committed to ensuring fair usage, reducing losses, and maintaining gas supply integrity across its service areas.
