Islamabad, May 28, 2025: Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, while addressing a trilateral summit held with Turkey and Pakistan on Wednesday, unveiled plans for a $2 billion investment initiative for Pakistan.
Aliyev revealed that the three nations, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Pakistan are currently exploring joint investment ventures totaling around $2 billion, with Pakistan likely to receive the largest share. Talks are already underway to finalize collaborative efforts in the infrastructure, energy, and technology sectors.
During the summit, President Aliyev also underscored the significance of combined defense collaborations among the three countries, stressing that such efforts are key to ensuring regional peace and collective security.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who was also present at the summit, reaffirmed Ankara’s continued strategic cooperation with both Azerbaijan and Pakistan. He voiced full backing for Azerbaijan’s reconstruction efforts following its recent conflict and openly condemned the humanitarian situation unfolding in Gaza.

The high-level gathering, which included senior Pakistani officials, is expected to lead to the signing of multiple MoUs and joint statements in the coming weeks.
While Pakistan has yet to officially announce the funding, credible sources confirmed that detailed discussions are ongoing behind closed doors.
