Islamabad, Aug 10: At the special request of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a commemorative postage stamp titled “Determination and Stability” has been issued on the occasion of the country’s 77th Independence Day.
The stamp features an image of Pakistan’s javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem, honoring his achievement. Arshad Nadeem set a new Olympic record by throwing the javelin 92.97 meters at the Paris Olympics, winning a gold medal and becoming an inspiration for the youth.
The stamp, titled “Determination and Stability,” stands as a testament to the nation’s commitment to progress and stability.The design includes an image of Minar-e-Pakistan, highlighting the struggle for Pakistan’s independence and its symbolic significance.
The postage stamp issued by the Government of Pakistan on Independence Day will inform future generations about Pakistan’s struggle for independence, sacrifices, and the government’s dedication to national stability.
