The Sindh Education Department has officially withdrawn the promotions of primary school teachers who were earlier elevated to high school teacher posts.
The step has been taken after directives from the Sindh High Court and the School Education & Literacy Department.
All the affected teachers have been directed to resume their original positions. Moreover, the department has instructed the reclaiming of the payments of salaries already paid in favor of their revised titles.
To make sure that the order is stringently followed, a circular has been sent to all District Education Officers (DEOs) of Karachi Division.
