Islamabad, June 23, 2025: The District Health Authority (DHA) Bahawalpur has issued a directive to relieve all contract and ad hoc staff upon the expiry of their employment terms. The order, dated June 23, 2025, comes from the District Health Officer (PS) and has been approved by the Chief Executive Officer DHA Bahawalpur.

According to the official notification, all employees working under contract or ad hoc arrangements within health facilities managed by the DHA Bahawalpur are to be relieved as soon as their current agreements conclude.

The directive specifies that this action is to be taken “without further loss of time,” with immediate intimation to the DHA office. An exception is made only for cases currently pending in court.

The order has been circulated to various officials, including all Deputy District Health Officers, Medical Superintendents of THQ Hospitals, Senior Medical Officers of RHCs, Medical Officers of BHUs, and Health Managers across the district, including those at Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics.

This move is expected to impact a significant number of healthcare personnel in the district who were employed on a temporary or contractual basis.

The comprehensive directive aims to streamline human resources within the District Health Authority Bahawalpur.
