Islamabad, Oct 4: : On Thursday, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, officially opened the Bahria University College of Medicine (BUCM) in the Federal Capital.
During the event, he praised Bahria University’s contributions and successes in delivering quality education across various disciplines, as reported by a news release from the Pakistan Navy.
Admiral Ashraf highlighted the opportunities and challenges ahead, expressing confidence that BUCM would develop into a leading institution for exceptional medical education.
He emphasized the importance of the professionalism, commitment, and dedication of the faculty members in establishing the college as one of the country’s top medical institutes.
In his welcome address, Vice Admiral (R) Asif Khaliq, the Rector of Bahria University, acknowledged the support from the Pakistan Navy in the campus’s development.
The Project Director of Bahria University Health Sciences Islamabad provided an overview of the project, detailing the facilities available to students. Admiral Ashraf also toured various facilities on the campus, commending its state-of-the-art infrastructure.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Health Ministry, the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council, the Higher Education Commission, former rectors, faculty members, and students from Bahria University.
