Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that women empowerment in Balochistan is essential for sustainable growth and social progress. He stressed that no province can move forward without women equal role in economic and social fields.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Women Economic Empowerment Endowment Fund, he said the initiative would help thousands of skilled women across Balochistan gain financial independence.
Bugti announced that despite limited resources, the government has raised the fund to Rs. 5 million. He said the step would create new opportunities for women in business and employment and could become a model project for empowerment.
He also revealed that the government is considering giving ownership rights to women in nearly 8,000 houses being built for flood-hit families. According to him, this move would strengthen women’s position within households and communities.
