Heavy snowfall at Kozhak Top created a stunning winter landscape, but it also posed challenges for travelers. Local authorities, including the district administration, National Highway Authority (NHA), and Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), swiftly launched road clearance operations to ensure the safety and smooth movement of traffic. Thanks to their efforts, the Quetta-Chaman highway remains operational despite the harsh weather.
In a weather update for Karachi, Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz noted that a fresh cold wave from Balochistan, which began affecting the country on January 18, is unlikely to bring rain to Karachi. However, as the system moves towards northern regions, Karachi is expected to feel its impact through colder winds starting around January 24. This western disturbance is predicted to bring cold and dry conditions, intensifying the chill in the city.
With winter in full swing, Balochistan stands out as a haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers, offering a unique blend of snow-capped peaks and coastal serenity. The province’s winter charm is a reminder of the diverse beauty that Pakistan has to offer.
