Islamabad, Sep 13: Due to Eid Milad Un Nabi, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) declared on Friday that it will be closed on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
In a circular released today, the central bank stated, “The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on September 17, 2024 (Tuesday), being a public holiday on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (12th Rabi-ul-Awal, 1446 A.H).”
On this day, commercial banks will likewise be closed. In addition to the banking industry, the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited (PSX) has previously declared that it will be closed on that particular day.
The birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is commemorated annually by Muslims worldwide on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, also known as Eid Milad-un-Nabi in local dialect.
