Islamabad’s sessions court has granted major relief to YouTubers in the case concerning the closure of 27 YouTube channels.

Announcing its reserved judgment on appeals filed by content creators, the court set aside the judicial magistrate’s order to shut down the channels.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka delivered the verdict on appeals filed by 11 YouTubers, all of which were accepted. According to the ruling, the magistrate’s directive to block the YouTube channels was declared null and void.

The decision applies specifically to the 11 appellants in this case, while judgments on the remaining petitions are expected later.
