Islamabad, Aug 11, 2025: In Barcelona, Pakistani National Assembly member Qadir Gilani became a target of street robbery as his expensive wristwatch worth more €56,000 was forcefully stolen. The accident concerned unidentified assailants who carried out a swift snatch-and-run that has turned out to be a very common form of crime in the Catalan capital.

During his visit, Qadir Gilani, the son of Yousaf Raza Gilani, the Chairman of the Senate became a victim of this grievous act. The high-end timepiece, which is the luxury watch, was snatched away in a moment when Gilani was strolling down Barcelona streets.

The number of street robberies of both tourists and and residents have skyrocketed over the past years, thus resulting in augmented divisions and precautions within visitors. In spite of the rush of the robbers, nobody seems to have been injured in the robbery.
