Islamabad, June 25, 2025: The 19-year-old Roony Bardghji looks set to leave Copenhagen and join Spanish club Barcelona this summer as Barcelona have successfully secured the signing of highly-rated Swedish winger.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona are close to finalizing a deal with Copenhagen for Bardghji. Only a few small details remain before the move is complete. Bardghji is currently worth €7.5 million and has played 84 games for Copenhagen, scoring 15 goals. Barcelona may sign him for just €2 million because his contract ends later this year. The deal will also include extra payments and a sell-on clause.
In the 2023-24 season, Roony Bardghji from FC Copenhagen made headlines by scoring in the Champions League against Manchester United. He became the youngest scorer in the tournament history at the age of 17 years, 11 months, and 24 days old only.

What can Bardghji give Barcelona? Danish scout Ziyu Ji says, “He is an attacking player who likes to cut in from the right wing.” But since Lamine Yamal already plays in that spot, Bardghji might not get many chances there. Ji adds, “He is good at dribbling and moving in small spaces. He can take on defenders and move well without the ball. He also has a strong weaker foot. I remember he scored a great volley with his right foot in a friendly game against Brøndby.”

He may not start right away under coach Hansi Flick, as Ji points out Bardghji still has things to improve, like winning headers and staying consistent. Ji compares him to Messi and Kulusevski because of his playing style. However, he also says Bardghji needs more game time and that playing for Barcelona’s B team, now in Spain’s fourth division, may not help his growth.
