Islamabad, 24 March 2025: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is preparing to grant No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to three national players.
These players include Litton Das, Nahid Rana, and Rishad Hossain—for their participation in the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), set to take place from April 11 to May 18.
Karachi Kings secured wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das, while Lahore Qalandars picked leg-spinner Rishad Hossain. Fast bowler Nahid Rana was selected by Peshawar Zalmi during the PSL draft held on January 13.
BCB’s cricket operations head, Shahriar Nafees, stated that the board was inclined to approve the NOCs but would finalize the duration of their availability in the coming days.
He explained that while Rishad had no international matches during the tournament, Litton and Nahid were part of Bangladesh’s Test squad, which could affect their participation.
Bangladesh is scheduled to host Zimbabwe for a two-match Test series between April 20 and May 2, which may limit the involvement of Litton and Nahid in PSL 10.
A selection committee official mentioned that they planned to coordinate with Peshawar Zalmi to manage Nahid’s workload, emphasizing that his match participation would be closely monitored, as he was already following workload restrictions in the domestic Dhaka Premier League.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the PSL 10 replacement draft will be held virtually on Monday.
Franchises will name substitutes for five unavailable players, including Nahid Rana and Litton Das.
Additionally, replacements will be selected for South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen (Islamabad United), New Zealand’s Mark Chapman (Quetta Gladiators), and Kane Williamson (Karachi Kings).
Peshawar Zalmi will also seek a replacement for Corbin Bosch, who withdrew from PSL 10 at the last moment to join the Indian Premier League (IPL), a move that reportedly disappointed PCB officials.
