ISLAMABAD, AUGUST 17: The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) in Sargodha has established a transgender-specific counter that would be open once a week.
Deputy Director Raazia Yasmin declared that 3,800 transgender people in the district were found in a recent study and are anticipated to be registered under the program.To help with registration and support, the new counters—which have been set up at the Tehsil level in Sillanwali, Sahiwal, Kotmomin, Bhera, Bhulwal, and Sargodha—will be available on Saturdays.
The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Chairperson, Senator Rubina Khalid, earlier revealed a new banking system intended to improve the effectiveness of money distribution to qualified women.
She clarified in a press release that the technology will work with six banks to minimize human interference and guarantee recipients get payments on schedule. Khalid emphasized that the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank have recognized the transparency of the BISP.
