In Mumbai, the Israeli assault on the refugee camp in Rafah has stirred Bollywood actors into action.
Just two days ago, the Israeli military bombed a camp in Rafah, designated as a safe zone, resulting in the tragic deaths of over 75 Palestinians and leaving dozens wounded.
The bombardment ignited a devastating fire in the Rafah refugee camp, claiming the lives of numerous individuals due to severe burns. This camp accommodated a significant population of Palestinians displaced from northern Gaza.
Subsequently, at least 21 Palestinians lost their lives, and many more were injured in another Israeli airstrike on a camp housing displaced Palestinians in Rafah.
In response to these atrocities, prominent Bollywood figures have spoken out.
Actress Sonam Kapoor has been an advocate for the innocent children of Palestine and recently posted several stories on her Instagram account highlighting the dire situation in Rafah and the staggering loss of lives. She shared a viral template calling attention to the plight of Rafah, which has garnered widespread participation in the campaign across social media platforms, particularly among Muslims worldwide.
Actress Samantha also condemned Israeli aggression and the massacre of innocent Palestinians.
Actor Varun Dhawan expressed solidarity with Palestine by sharing Rafah’s viral template on his Instagram story.
Superstar Kareena Kapoor shared a UNICEF post on her Instagram story, shedding light on the heartbreaking images of martyred and injured children emerging from the camps and urging for an immediate ceasefire.
Emerging actress Pratibha Ranta, known for her remarkable performances in the film ‘Lapata Ladies’ and the web series ‘Hira Mandi’, has also lent her voice in support of Rafah.
Additionally, Malaika Arora, Rashmika Mandana, Ibrahim Khan (son of Saif Ali Khan), Palak Tiwari, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, and Madhuri Dixit have joined the chorus of voices speaking out against the tragedy in Rafah.
