Islamabad, Mar 19 2025: Former Australia cricketer Brad Hogg has sparked outrage after mocking Pakistan’s ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan in a viral video.
The footage, shared widely on social media, shows Hogg laughing as a person impersonates Rizwan’s speaking style and mocks his proficiency in English.
The incident has drawn sharp criticism from Pakistan pacer Aamir Jamal, who called Hogg’s behavior “shameful.”
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Jamal expressed his disappointment, emphasizing that English is Rizwan’s third language.
I just watch a video which is circulating on twitter and others social media It is very shameful act from @Brad_Hogg who called him self a international cricketer
making fun of a @iMRizwanPak about his English which is his 3rd language not even 2nd

He accused Hogg of seeking attention and followers by ridiculing the Pakistan cricketer. Jamal suggested that Hogg should consider joining TikTok, where he might attract the attention he seemingly craves.
In the viral clip, Hogg interviews an individual impersonating Rizwan. The impersonator mimics Rizwan’s popular phrase, “Ya to win hai ya learn hai,” and also humorously compares himself to Indian star Virat Kohli, saying, “I drink water, he drinks water. I eat food, he eats food. We are the same.”
Rizwan, who was recently dropped from Pakistan’s squad for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand, remains set to lead the team in the upcoming ODI series, starting March 29 in Napier.
Under his leadership, Pakistan’s recent performance in the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 was disappointing, as the team exited in the group stage after losses to New Zealand and India and a rain-affected match against Bangladesh.
