Islamabad, Mar 3, 2025: United Kingdom’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ms. Jane Marriott, called on the Prime Minister at Prime Minister House earlier today in a courtesy meeting aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties between the two nations.
During the discussion, the Prime Minister extended warm greetings to His Majesty King Charles III and wished him a speedy recovery. He also reiterated Pakistan’s invitation for a Royal visit, encouraging the monarch to visit at his earliest convenience.
Expressing satisfaction over the steady progress in bilateral relations, the Prime Minister highlighted the strong cooperation between Pakistan and the U.K. in various fields.
On global affairs, the Prime Minister stressed the need for collective efforts to ensure lasting peace in Gaza and Ukraine, emphasizing diplomatic engagement and international cooperation as key to resolving ongoing conflicts.
The British High Commissioner reaffirmed the U.K.’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Pakistan, particularly in economic development, trade, and social progress. She assured that the U.K. would continue to support Pakistan’s initiatives for national growth and prosperity.
