Islamabad, July 4, 2025: Broiler chicken meat prices in Lahore have surged once again, rising by Rs. 21 per kilogram on Thursday. This brings the new rate to Rs. 482 per kg, reflecting a total hike of Rs. 58 in just two days.
Meanwhile, the live broiler chicken prices have also gone up. The wholesale price is now Rs. 319 per kg, and the retail price has reached Rs. 333 per kg, causing concern among both vendors and buyers.
Traders link the hike to ongoing supply chain disruptions and rising consumer demand, though authorities have yet to release an official statement. The sudden spike in poultry rates is making daily meals more expensive, especially for middle and lower-income households in the city.
