The Government of Pakistan has officially announced the date for the presentation of the Federal Budget for the fiscal year 2025–26 (FY26). According to Khurram Schehzad, Advisor to the Finance Minister, the budget will be presented in the National Assembly on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
In a statement issued on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Mr. Schehzad stated:
“The Federal Budget for FY 2025–26 of Pakistan will be presented on June 10, 2025.”
As per established practice, the Pakistan Economic Survey 2024–25 will be released a day prior on June 9, 2025. The survey will provide a detailed review of the country’s economic performance during the current fiscal year and serve as the foundation for fiscal planning in FY26.

The upcoming budget is expected to focus on sustainable economic growth, tax reforms, digital governance, social welfare programs, and development spending aligned with national priorities. It will also reflect Pakistan’s ongoing economic strategies under international commitments, including cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Key areas likely to be addressed in Budget FY26 include:
- Fiscal consolidation and debt management
- Expansion of the tax base
- Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) allocations
- Inflation control measures
- Energy reforms and digital transformation
The Ministry of Finance will ensure the budget is inclusive, growth-oriented, and aligned with the country’s long-term development agenda.
