Islamabad, Jan 3: Abdul Rehman Siddiqui, Acting President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), addressed a delegation from Tarnol, led by Malik Shabbir Awan, the founder President of the Talagang Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Siddiqui emphasized the importance of overcoming obstacles to creating a business-friendly environment and noted that the business community is committed to contributing to Pakistan’s economic development.
Siddiqui recognized Tarnol as a key business hub within the capital and assured the delegation that ICCI would work on resolving pressing issues such as encroachments, water shortages, poor road conditions, inadequate street lighting, and law and order challenges. These concerns would be raised with relevant authorities to create a more conducive environment for business growth.
Zafar Bakhtawari, Secretary General of the United Business Group, expressed confidence that ICCI would succeed in improving the local business environment. Additionally, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, representing the former ICCI President, announced that a water filtration plant would be installed in Tarnol to benefit both the business community and local residents.
Malik Shabbir Awan acknowledged ICCI’s efforts in fostering entrepreneurship and emphasized the power of collaboration within the business community to bring about transformative change. ICCI’s Acting Senior Vice President, Nasir Mehmood Chaudhry, reaffirmed their commitment to addressing key challenges and promoting regional economic growth. Malik Abdul Aziz expressed gratitude for the delegation’s visit and reiterated ICCI’s dedication to resolving issues and supporting a favorable business environment.
