Islamabad, 18 July: The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) is investigating Chinese e-commerce giant Temu following complaints from local retailers alleging unfair trade practices.

The Chain store Association of Pakistan (CAP) claims Temu’s aggressive discounts, tax avoidance, and under-declared imports are harming domestic businesses and distorting the market.

Retailers accuse Temu of exploiting loopholes, such as splitting shipments to evade duties, while local sellers face strict regulations.

CAP has urged authorities to enforce fair competition and monitor cross-border e-commerce shipments more strictly. The CCP has yet to issue an official response.
