In a bid to maintain peace and order, the Punjab government has decided to enforce the Loudspeaker Act with the strictest possible measures.
This decision was made during an exceptional seventh meeting on law and order, chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The meeting focused on defining new strategies for ensuring security and implementing immediate, robust actions to maintain public order.
The enforcement of the Loudspeaker Act will be monitored using CCTV cameras and advanced technology across the province. Individuals who use loudspeakers to spread hate or incite violence will now face legal consequences.
However, no restrictions will be placed on religious groups as long as they follow the ethical guidelines. Religious organizations contributing to religious harmony will be fully supported by the government.
The government has also tightened laws against those who use religion as a tool to spread hatred.

Additionally, the government has also actions under the PECA Act will be taken against those spreading hate, false information and incitement on social media. Special units have been set up to monitor harmful content across digital platforms.
