Islamabad, Dec 10: The redesign of the Enforcement Wing to improve its efficiency was approved by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) at its 17th Board meeting on Tuesday. To supervise this reorganization, a three-member committee consisting of Member Finance, Member Administration, and Member Technology was established at the meeting that took place here, with Muhammad Ali Randhawa serving as the head.
At the following meeting, the group will discuss its suggestions for enhancing the Enforcement Wing’s effectiveness and capabilities. In order to maintain discipline within the organization, the CDA Board has made the decision to streamline the Security Directorate. The same three-member group would provide suggestions for this restructuring.
The extension of CDA and NADRA’s e-balloting agreement was accepted by the CDA Board.
It was also resolved at the conference to set aside space at the Jinnah Convention Center for the Smart Islamabad Initiative. Regulations for installing electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at new and existing petrol stations in Islamabad were also discussed at the meeting. In order to make sure that these regulations are in line with Federal Government policy, it was decided to consult and solicit opinion from all parties involved.
Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the chairman of CDA, stressed the importance of starting the transition of CDA’s transport fleet to electric vehicles. The plots in Sector I-17 that have been distributed to various institutions by the policy were also discussed at the meeting.
Additionally, by Rule 42(f), the Board authorized the employment of consultants to develop the Khayaban-e-Iqbal signal-free corridor project.The meeting was attended by every member of the CDA board.
