Islamabad, Aug 2: It was reported that the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, met with ambassadors from Ethiopia, Denmark, and Iraq to discuss a range of developmental projects that would improve the city’s environmental sustainability and infrastructure.
According to specifics, Ethiopian Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula Chairman Randhawa concentrated on ongoing initiatives intended to modernize and green-ify Islamabad. Drawing on Ethiopia’s successful Green Corridor Project in Addis Ababa, Ambassador Abdula expressed a strong desire to take part in the Margalla Hill plantation campaign. Chairman Randhawa responded by applauding the idea and recommending that the Ethiopian Embassy be given a designated space to carry out tree planting operations.
During a different conversation, Danish Ambassador to Pakistan Jakob Linulf expressed his appreciation for the CDA’s work in advancing eco-friendly and green projects. In addition to showing interest in the Margalla Hills reforestation program, he offered Islamabad his assistance in developing through the application of Denmark’s experience in solid waste management and renewable energy.In order to support Islamabad’s green transformation, Chairman Randhawa emphasized the significance of incorporating Denmark’s best practices in these areas.
