Islamabad, Dec 21: Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, along with the Member Engineering and relevant officers, visited the Serena Interchange and Jinnah Avenue Interchange project sites on Saturday. During the visit, the relevant authorities gave a detailed briefing to the Chairman CDA regarding the ongoing construction work on the projects.
During the briefing, it was apprised that the underpass at Jinnah Avenue Interchange has entered the final stages of its completion in record time. The underpass of this project will be opened for traffic after the inauguration of the underpass on December 24, 2024. The Chairman was also briefed on the preparations for inauguration of the underpass at Jinnah Avenue.
Additionally, it was mentioned that the carpeting work of the underpass road is also near to its completion. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that beautification work on the underpass should commence before the inauguration. He appreciated the performance of the relevant staff and workers for completing the underpass ahead of schedule.
During his visit to the Serena Interchange project, he was also given a detailed briefing. It was highlighted during the briefing that the construction work is going on simultaneously at all sections of the Serena Interchange project. It was mentioned that the obstacles affecting the pace of construction work of the Serena Interchange underpass are being removed with great efforts.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa stated that by continuing construction activities 24/7, all obstacles should be cleared promptly, while maintaining high standards in all activities. He further emphasized that consultants and resident engineers should ensure timely completion of the construction work on-site.
