Islamabad, Jan 25: Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, along with the Member Engineering and relevant officers, visited the Serena Interchange project and took a detailed review of the ongoing construction activities on the project. During the briefing, the relevant officers apprised Chairman CDA about the ongoing construction activities and their timelines.
They mentioned that construction work is progressing on all sections of the project 24/7 as per the schedule, and the finishing work of the underpasses on Srinagar Highway is progressing rapidly. It was also informed that the asphalt work on the connecting and slip roads related to the project is underway at a fast pace. Chairman CDA was also apprised that beautification work around all the underpasses connected to the Serena Interchange project is progressing rapidly. Similarly, the installation of permanent lights on the project is also ongoing.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that the work on the underpasses of Srinagar Highway be completed and opened for traffic during this month. He instructed that the beautification and horticulture work around the project be completed as soon as possible, adding that the remaining construction work on the project should also be accomplished without any delay.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa emphasized that the highest standards of construction work must be ensured under all circumstances. He stated that consultants and resident engineers must ensure the swift completion of construction work along with maintaining the highest quality. He further added that the completion of the project will provide citizens with signal-free travel facilities and bring modernization to the city’s existing infrastructure.
