Islamabad, Jan 17: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, visited the Serena Interchange project to inspect ongoing construction progress. Accompanied by senior officers, the Chairman emphasized the importance of timely and high-quality project delivery.
During the briefing, officials informed Chairman Randhawa that cleaning work at the Serena Underpass on Khayaban-e-Soharwardy is advancing rapidly. Additionally, structural work on both underpasses at Srinagar Highway is nearing completion. Construction activities across all sections of the project are proceeding at a fast pace.
The Chairman directed that the beautification and horticulture around the interchange underpasses be completed swiftly and instructed the finishing work on the Srinagar Highway underpasses to be finalized and opened to traffic within the month. He also stressed the importance of attractive landscaping and plantation on the green belts surrounding the project.
Highlighting the urgency, Chairman Randhawa called for round-the-clock construction while maintaining the highest quality standards. He noted that the completion of the Serena Interchange project will resolve traffic congestion in Islamabad, offer signal-free travel, reduce environmental pollution, and improve the quality of life for residents.
This significant infrastructure initiative demonstrates CDA’s commitment to enhancing urban mobility and sustainability in the capital.
