In Islamabad, the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, held a meeting on Wednesday with Environmental Expert Rizwan Mehboob. Rizwan Mehboob, possessing significant experience in forestry and environmental matters, has pledged to offer his services voluntarily to the CDA, particularly focusing on the management and prevention of forest fires, as stated in a press release.
Additionally, his expertise will be harnessed for forest conservation efforts, with a particular emphasis on protecting wildlife in Islamabad. Rizwan Mehboob will also provide guidance to various CDA departments regarding water conservation strategies.
Concurrently, Dr. Abdul Rehman, the Director General of Capital Emergency Services, has been tasked with conducting an audit of forest fires to pinpoint any deficiencies in current prevention and firefighting protocols.
