Islamabad, May 18, 2025: Chairman CDA, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and DG Civil Defence, Muhammad Ali Randhawa chaired a meeting in which it was briefed that Directorate of Civil Defence Islamabad has completed its first phase of three-day

Civil Defence Training program for boys’ schools/colleges in Islamabad in partnership with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Federal Directorate of Education, crafted a pioneering Civil Defence training program that empowered students to become beacons of safety and resilience.

Six teams of master trainers from the Directorate General Civil Defence and four teams from CDA ignited a spark of knowledge and expertise in seven thousand (7000) students from 70 boys’ schools/colleges, equipping them with essential Civil Defence skills to safeguard their communities.

MuhammadAli Randhawa, Director General of Civil Defence lauded the collaborative efforts of the training teams, applauding their skills and exceptional performance, dedication and commitment to the cause of preventive and responsive strategies aimed at timely protection of lives and properties during any emergency situations.

Further, the Director General has directed that Civil Defence training be institutionalized as a regular feature, paving the way for a similar program to be launched for girl schools/colleges in Islamabad, as well as Universities fostering a culture of preparedness and safety across the country including Federal Capital Islamabad.

Training is always considered a beneficial approach which evolves ongoing learning and development to improve skills, knowledge leading to overall success and performance.
