ISLAMABAD: July 17, 2025: The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) landmark and historic commercial plots auction concluded successfully on its third day on July 17, 2025. Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa personally supervised the transparent auction process. Investors shown full confidence upon CDA by participating in large numbers on the final day, showing particular interest in purchasing of shops at Blue Area Parking Plaza. During three day’s auction, 8 commercial plots and 4 shops were auctioned for PKR 19.56 billion.

Details of the third day include the auction of shop number 8A in the Blue Area Parking Plaza for Rs. 14.57 crore, shop number 10A for Rs. 14.32 crore, shop number 12A for Rs. 14.67 crore and shop number 8C for Rs. 9.43 crore.

Additionally, on the second day, plot number 20 in Sector I-14 (petrol pump category) was sold for Rs. 1.64 billion. Plot number 1-E in Sector F-11/1 was auctioned for approximately Rs. 25.13 crore.

On the first day, plot number 13 in Blue Area (G-8) was auctioned for around Rs. 7.24 billion, plot number 14 for Rs. 4.16 billion and plot number 12 for Rs. 3.60 billion.

Also on the first day, plot number 3A in Sector I-14 was auctioned for approximately Rs. 74.932 crore, plot number 3B for Rs. 70.932 crore and plot number 10A for Rs. 66.932 crore.

The full participation of investors is clear indication of their trust in CDA’s auction process. Commercial plots and shops in various categories were offered transparently through open auction for investment.

In line with the directions of Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Member Estate Talat Mehmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, and Member Planning Dr. Khalid Hafiz personally supervised the transparent open auction process. A special committee, headed by Member Finance Tahir Naeem was also formed, which included the DG Resource, DG Building Control, DG Law and other senior officers of CDA.

As per the directions of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, an Investment Expo was also organized at the Jinnah Convention Centre to apprise prospective investors and the business community about future investment opportunities. Information booths were set up by the Environment Wing, MCI, and the Sports and Culture Directorate of CDA. Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that all possible facilities should be extended to all investors and business stakeholders.

Notably, as part of investor- and business-friendly initiatives, a 5% rebate is being offered on lump-sum payments made within one month. An additional 5% rebate is also available for payments made in US dollars.

Chairman CDA said that the CDA Facilitation Centre will continue to assist investors at every step. He added that the revenue generated from the auction will be spent on the development and beautification of Islamabad, including sector development and road infrastructure upgrades, with the goal of transforming Islamabad into a modern and exemplary Capital city.
